One QR code for your booth, even when your links change
You print table tents, a banner, and a hundred packaging stickers before market season. Six weeks in, you rename your Etsy shop, or move to your own site, or decide the QR should really point at your Instagram because that's where you post new work. If the code on your signage is a plain static QR, the URL is baked into the pixels — your only options are reprinting everything or leaving a dead link on the table.
A ScanTrail QR encodes a permanent short link instead of the URL itself. You pick the destination in a dashboard and can change it whenever you want: your Etsy shop today, a market-weekend promo page on Saturday, your own storefront when you outgrow Etsy. The printed code never changes, so your laminated signs, aprons, and sticker sheets stay good for years.
There's a second problem dynamic codes solve: knowing which market is worth the booth fee. If you do the Saturday farmers market plus two juried fairs, make a separate code for each. ScanTrail counts scans per day for every code, with a time-of-day histogram, device breakdown, and country — so you can see that one fair sent 40 people to your shop and another sent 4, and book next season accordingly.

Reprint nothing when your shop moves
The code points at a permanent ScanTrail short link, and you control where that link goes. Rename your Etsy shop, swap Linktree for a landing page, or move to your own domain — edit the destination once and every sign, sticker, and business card you've already printed follows along.
Know which fair actually drove visits
Create one code per market, or one for your banner and another for packaging inserts. Each code gets its own scan counts per day, a time-of-day histogram, and device breakdown, so you can tell whether people scan at the booth or later at home from the box — and which events earn their fee. Pro adds CSV export if you want the raw numbers in a spreadsheet.
Print at any size, from sticker to banner
Download your code as SVG or PNG. SVG is vector, so the same file stays crisp on a 1-inch product tag and a 3-foot booth banner. On Pro you can set custom QR colors to match your brand and signage.
Fast scans on fairground cell service
Shoppers scan with their phone camera — no app to install. Redirects are served from Cloudflare's edge network, which keeps the hop between scan and your shop short even on a crowded fairground's spotty connection.

Common questions
Can't I just use a free static QR code?
You can — ScanTrail's static generator is free, no account needed, and fine for things that never change, like a WiFi code for your studio. But a static code hardcodes the URL into the image. If your Etsy shop name or link setup changes, every printed static code goes stale. A dynamic code costs nothing for your first 3 and lets you change the destination after printing.
How do I tell which market sent people to my shop?
Make a separate dynamic code for each fair (or each sign). Every code tracks its own scans per day, time of day, device type, and country, so comparing markets is just comparing codes. The free plan shows the last 7 days of data; Pro keeps full history, which matters if your fairs are weeks apart.
What happens to my printed codes if I stop paying for Pro?
They keep working. Your account drops to the free plan, which keeps 3 dynamic codes redirecting, so your printed signage doesn't break. You'd lose access to codes beyond the first 3, full analytics history, custom colors, and CSV export — but the free plan's 7-day analytics still run.
What does ScanTrail cost?
Free: unlimited static QR downloads, 3 dynamic codes, and the last 7 days of analytics. Pro is $1/month or $10/year and adds 1,000 dynamic codes, full analytics history, custom QR colors, and CSV export. For most makers that's one booth fee's worth of tracking for a year.
Do shoppers need to download anything to scan?
No. The built-in camera app on iPhones and Android phones scans the code directly and opens your link. There's nothing to install on their end or yours.
